ever looked on the internet for the best weight loss diets? if you have, you’ve probablyread about the next best diet in the world called the paleo diet. but what exactly isthis paleo diet and what makes it better than all the other diets our there?paleo is short for paleolithic, a prehistoric period of human development that existed overtwo and a half million years ago. during this paleolithic era, humans have yet to learnabout agriculture and animal domestication. this meant that humans only ate food thatwere readily available to them in their surrounding environment . they then genetically adaptedto become stronger and healthier by consuming more of these foods. advocators of the dietargue that there has been too little of a time frame between the end of the paleolithicera and modern day for the human body to adapt to today's western diet. the lack of adaptationis supposedly responsible for the existence of modern diseases today such as diabetesand obesity. this paleo-type die

hi and a huge welcome to steve's kitchen. today we're making a sugar-free custard one of my regular viewers sharon, asked me to make a sugar free icecream and all great ice creams start with a vanilla custard. now i'm going to be using stevia, you canget it in liquid form which is highly concentrated, you use afew drops of this if you're using it to replace sugar andyou can also get stevia in a powder form it is often like to like so oneteaspoon of this equals a teaspoon of sugar. this one's called natvia i'm going tobe using this to make my custard. now let me show you how now first of all i'm just going to put 1 pint of full cream milk into a heavy based saucepan ideally youwant a saucepan with a fairly thick base and then we want to flavor that with vanillanow always use either a vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract don't use an essenceif you're going to the trouble of making custard. you can also use a proper vanilla bean.now i'm just goi

Questions and Thoughts About the Paleo Diet

As I talked about in my last post, the holistic practitioner that has been working with me lately suggested that I move toward the Paleo Diet in order to regain my health. That caused me to smile. Not only because I didn't expect her to say that, but because after spending 5 years on a strict, whole-foods low-carb diet of just meats, eggs, vegetables, berries, and healthy fats, I was no closer to health than I was before I started. That's the naked truth. Foundation Claims of the Paleo Diet I decided to look into the Paleo Diet anyway because I was relatively familiar with the program. I started with Lorin Cordain's website since he was the founder of the Paleo movement. I thought I would get a clearer picture of what the diet was all about if I went to the source. What I understood after the hours I spent reading there was that Paleo is based on mimicking the foods our ancient ancestors ate before the Agricultural Revolution because those are the foods our bodies are gen

hi i'm caveman keto and today i'm going to show you how to make a low carb cheesecake it's super simple and in fact i make these all the time for people who aren't on a low carb diet and they can't even tell it's 0 sugar cheesecake so let's get started we'regonna start with the crust take three fourths of a cup of pecans put them in a zip lock bag and then crush it. once you've combined the crust elements then put itinto the springform pan a springform pan is one where there's a removable bottom; it's often used for cheesecake so that you can later extract the crust. you want to take it and spray it, then lay out the crust. now bake the crust for 7 minutes until it's golden brown. after 7 or so minutes in the oven you can see that the crust is now gold brown because you're going to end up puttingthis in a water bath gonna wrap it in foil. take a large piece of foil and wrap it around the sides so that no water can possibly get in star
