My First Experience with a Low Fat Low Carb Diet

(This is part 4 of a multi-part series on How to Tweak a Low Carb Diet . It discusses my weight loss journey so far. If you didn’t read part 1, you can do so by clicking on the how-to link. Part 1 also includes links to the rest of the series.)  I took a quick glance at the archives to see if I could discover exactly when I first started doing the Kimkins Diet back in 2007, but I kept it quiet due to the controversy surrounding that plan. I can remember communicating with Jimmy Moore several times back then, as he was doing the Kimkins Diet himself, but I couldn’t find anything I had actually posted to this blog. People were very emphatic back then that you had to eat a certain amount of dietary fat. You had to eat a ton of protein, and you had to get a certain amount of calories, or you were not doing low carb. Because of these self-made dietary restrictions, these same individuals refused to call Kimkins a low carb diet. They insisted it was a glucose-burning diet, even though it...

Type 2 Diabetes and a Low Carb Diet – Essential or Dogma?

The newest diabetes diet recommendations came out a few days ago: eat more carbs, and use drugs to keep your blood glucose under control. Scary stuff. Diabetes Health Magazine recently ran an article by Hope Warshaw entitled “Type 2 Diabetes: From Old Dogmas to New Realities – Part 2.” In that article Warshaw first focuses on and ridicules weight loss for diabetics in connection with better glucose control, and then likewise attacks a low carb diet – calling both of them old dogma. For those who have actually studied the principles and science behind carbohydrate restriction and/or have put them to the test, adversity against our own personal truth and experience isn’t new. But when someone looked to as an authoritative voice presents that, a minimum carbohydrate intake of 45% of daily calories is the new reality for diabetics, it’s hard to walk away and let that be. Is Weight Loss for Diabetics Really Dogma? When I was first diagnosed with pre-diabetes, my physician believed that if I...

bodybuilding diet is unhealthy

hey guys, sean nalewanyj of eliteimpactlabs.comhere and in today's video i want to discuss carbohydrates and talk a little bit aboutwhat the best sources of carbs are to include in your muscle building and fat burning diet.so when it all comes down to it, carbs are really just sugar whether you eat a chocolatebar, whether you eat a piece of fruit, or whether you eat a bowl of rice it all getsbroken down into the simple form of glucose one way or another. so in that sense, a carbohydrateis a carbohydrate because the end product is ultimately all the same. the only realdifference here is in how those carbs are â€Å“packaged up”. some carbs are going tobefound in the high fiber, high vitamin, high mineral and phytonutrient dense foods likefruits and vegetables and whole grains and potatoes and brown rice etcetera and someare going to be found in less nutritionally-dense, low fiber foods like cookies and cake andso called junk food. it’s not the carbohydrates themselves that are the ...

[music] so you got 4 workoutscovering the whole body over a 6-day period. having said that, you gotta be flexible. if you need an extra day forrecovery, then take an extra day so that'll become 4 days over 7. some people may need even more, you gotta listen to your body. if you need more days to recoverthen, you know, just extend that cycle into 7 days or 8days or whatever you need. extra negatives are atool that you can use to increase the intensity. basically, you gotthree phases of strength. the weakest phaseis the positive or the lifting of the weight. that's the weakest phase. the second phase ofstrength is the static. you're stronger on the static. and then the thirdphase is the negative. unfortunately, a lot of peoplethink in terms of just lifting weight so for instance,a bench press, they lifted theweight to the top. all right, job done andjust drop it back down and do another one. they're missing half of the repand possibly the most important half of the rep beca...

bodybuilding diet in tamil

what's up, guys? jeff cavaliere, athleanx.com. today we've got to simplify nutrition. why?because most of the time people make it really complex. and when something is complex, you usuallywind up bailing on it pretty quickly because nobody can turn their nutrition into a secondjob and have it be something they can follow for theentire year or for an extended period of time, and therefore aren't going to get sustainedconsistent results. and we all know how important nutrition is.i've said it before. i'll say it again. nutrition is about 70 percent of the equation, but ifyou can't follow it, we've got problems. so, with athleanx and in my x factor mealplan, we have certain guidelines and rules that make following a meal plan a lot simpler. we remove all the calorie counting, and measuringand the macro counting because it doesn't have to be that complex. if you take your plate that you're going toeat on, right. right here, a normal sized dinner plate, a...
