crash diet

crash diet

hi, i'm organizing and lifestyle expert loriemarrero, creator of the clutter diet, and i want to talk today about shortcuts. you know i've been in this industry of organizingand productivity for 16 years now, and people look to me for tips and shortcuts all thetime, and particularly hacks. people love that word hack, they want kitchenhacks, and life hacks, and you know what?

crash diet

crash diet, i've got to say i have a pet peeve about theword hack. hacking is for coconuts and criminals whobreak into computers, and it sounds like someone with a bad cough, or someone who's a bad comedianor something. all the connotations of the word hack arejust so negative to me.

i don't want to hack my life, and you knowshortcuts are not always the best way either. you can save a lot of time going through afast food drive through window more than you can save time going to a farmer's market, but i think we would all agree that the best way for your health, for the return on investmentfor your time is to go to the farmer's market and to feed yourself and your family the betterway. also we can do a crash diet, we can get reallyfast results and that's kind of a shortcut, but then we mess up our metabolism and gainthe weight back. we can stay up really late and we can cramfor a test, and then we won't remember that information long term, and our performanceand our health will suffer when we lose sleep.

i want us to think about what i'm going tocall smart steps. i'd like you to share your smart steps herein the comments. what i mean by that is not necessarily theshortcut, but the best way to do things. it might be that you're looking for the smartpath towards something more healthy, so if you are going to the farmer's market whatare the tips and tricks about going to the farmer's market that are helpful. let's share those things that are the mosthelpful for your health, for the planet, for our children. all of those things might save time upfront, but it might also bring better benefits later,

so i want to share smart steps with you hereon this channel. also on our facebook page and instagram, youcan go to http://www.loriefacebook.com, or http://www.lorieinstagram.com. you can find my pages really easily that way,we just made those shortcut urls for you, but i'm going to be publishing smart stepshere and you can share them here in the comment. we love to hear from you. we'll see you next time, and may you alwaysbe happy and grateful for having more than enough.
