2 month weight loss
hey, i am eva. this is my first youtube video. a few days ago i was thinking what video i should make then i remembered 2 months ago i was watching all types of weight loss videos so i thought what about making a weight loss video
2 month weight loss, i'll begin with how i gained weight i used to never eat breakfast because firstly i thought breakfast was not necessary secondly, i have to go to school and always have to rush
i always sleep in and never have time to make breakfast when i gets to lunch, i usually am starving and will buy 2 burgers or spaghetti with softdrinks i might also get a packet of chips to eat i'll eat a huge meal of breakfast x lunch together around june last year, i started eating afternoon tea with my friends. i don't mean an afternoon tea with a cup of milktea and a slice of cake
i mean a huge portion of viet pho noodles sushi, laksa, donut, kfc, mcdonald and an especially oily food called hsp hsp is like mcdonalds except it's more oily it's in a huge takeaway box filled with thick potato chips it is layered with slices of beef and chicken on top you can add all types of sauces on top and you can also add cheese this amount probably feeds at least 4 people
but i can eat the whole thing with one other friend after i eat all that you can see a layer of oil this thick of course, this is really unhealthy when i go home, my stomach felt really uncomfortable but the problem is it taste too good! i will eat like this about 3-4 times a week then on weekends i will also eat fast food with my friends after tutoring eating unhealthy foods and snacks, drinking bubble tea
starbucks. things that are high in calorie i'm the type to still eat dinner 1 hour after eating a large afternoon tea the cooking aunty at home cooks a whole table of delicious foods there's red braised pork, curry, chicken, steak like all different types of yummy food (getting hungry here ahaha) i would eat two bowls of rice and vegetables after dinner, the cooking aunty would cut up fruits, make desserts so i basically eat from lunch to super late at night, non stop
eating like this for 2-3 months made me gain about 8kg at that time, i didn't realise i gained so much weight because i wore lose fitting school uniform everyday and i didn't really focus on the big changes in my body shape it wasn't until i weighed myself one day out of curiosity and found out, the heaviest at the time, was 56kg and i thought how did i suddenly gain so much weight at that time it was also a change of season, from winter to summer (i meant spring) i found out i couldn't get into my shorts, the waitband was so tight
especially the thighs, i can't even squeeze them into the shorts maybe it has something to do with the sport i play from a young age my thighs have always been musculine and thick so, as soon as i gain weight it normally goes straight to my thighs then my butt, waist, arm, face and stuff so then, my thighs were very, very thick i'm the not a very confident person so i would never take full body photos
normally it would be shoulders up because i'm very unconfident about my legs so now i will share with you about how i lost 10kg! when i first started, i didn't really know much about how to lose weight i always thought to lose weight, you have to eat less and not eat junk food etc. so i tried to eat smaller portions at dinner and reduce the amount of junk food but i will sneak a few chocolate or something in there once a while after 2-3 weeks, i didn't lose any weight or gained any weight
and i thought it was really strange, why did my weight not dropped even after i tried all that so i started to getting impatient, doubting whether it is worth it to even try but luckily i began watching a lot of videos about weight loss experiences and healthy eating i really did watch hundreds of videos on weight loss i learned a lot from the videos and started to map out my weight loss plan i didn't do any exercise on purpose to lose weight because i'm a student, apart from doing homework, showering, eating and sleeping i don't have any spare time to do exercise so my weight loss relied solely on my diet (what i ate)
i will control my caloric intake i downloaded apps that can help me calculate calories i will log what i ate for breakfast, lunch and dinner it also reminds me to drink water, i will also record how many cups i have drank these apps helped me so much because without these apps, i have no idea how many calories are in the food i eat i also recommend you to all download this type of apps ^^ 200 calories of brocolli, you can eat this much but 200 calories of pizza, you can ony eat this little
really, you have to eat healthily. this is the key to weight loss this, compared to extreme diets (really low calorie restriction) and not eating carbs is far more healthy and effective. it is also maintainable in my weight loss plan, i set a goal to drink 8-12 cups of water per day i used to only drink 1 cup each day, i just really dislike drinking water but in most of the videos i watch, they all say water can help you flush out harmful toxins the junk food you eat contains a large amount of salt and sodium drinking water can clean out those it can also help you lose water weight
so i was like, okay i need to drink 8-12 cups everyday but this for me was actually pretty difficult, because i found drinking water an uncomfortable thing but after the first day of drinking 12 cups, i lost 1kg the very next day you don't have to just drink water, you can also drink tea a lot of people like to make their own detox water like putting lemon, cucumber in water and drink it like that taste really nice, i like to drink these too in summer, you can put it in the fridge and take it out to drink apart from drinking water, i also began eating breakfast everyday
because eating breakfast can kickstart your metabolism and make you more energized because i'm a high school student, every morning i have to wake up an hour earlier to prepare breakfast and lunch normally i will prepare my lunch before making breakfast for breakfast, because i'm in a rush, i will toast a slice of bread and fry an egg or make pancake or waffles or oatmeal i love oats because i think they are super nutritional and delicious and they are low in calories. i will also put blueberries or strawberries on top. it's so good!
before i eat breakfast, i will definitely squeeze half a lemon to a warm cup of water and drink it like that this will also speed up your metabolism for lunch, i would make food that i can bring to school without it going bad after a few hours like sandwich, salad or noodles i would buy wholemeal bread, not only is this healthier, it is also lower in calories i will always change up what i put in sandwiches sometimes, i would put chicken breast and lettuce, tomato and turkey, it will be something different so i don't eat the same thing everyday and get sick of it.
for salads, i would put all different types of vegetables and smoked or pan-fried salmon or grilled chicken. i made sure that i don't just eat fruit and vegetables every meal because that's like eating grass i will definitely put meat in my meals, so the meals can be nutritional after preparing the main meals, i will also make two small boxes of fruits. the two boxes of fruits will mostly be different maybe one would be apple, the other would be grapes one be cherry tomaotes, the other be cherries. like that. so i would eat one at recess and the other at lunch with sandwich or salad sometimes i would make cookies myself so i know how many calories are in them
i would always find weight loss recipes online so the food i make are lower in calories and also healthy so i will learn lots of recipes and try them. if they are good then i will make them again this way you won't be eating just one thing, it would be more healthier and make your weight loss experience more interesting because i'm a student, i need to eat with my family. at dinner, i definitely eat white rice because rice is a staple food in our family diet. but the carbs in the rice will make you fat
so i will eat less, about half a bowl and then i will eat more vegetables and less meat. normally, i would only eat 1-2 pieces of meat. i won't eat too much. sometimes you don't realise how much you had, you would think you only ate a bit but you actually had quite a lot, because you can't necessarily remember how many you picked up one suggestion i have is to put what you want to eat that meal in a small plate. so you know how much you are eating i will try to eat lots of vegetables, boiled or fried greens and melons
food that is more healthy and less oil during my entire weight loss period, i found out about a large range of food's calories so i can make the correct food choices i went out a lot less with friends and tried to avoid ordering food with a lot of oil i remember it was my birthday during that time and i went out to eat with a group of friends at a restaurant i only ordered a plate of salad and i thought this must be so healthy, it probably won't affect my weight loss but the next day i actuallly gained half a kilogram afterwards i found out, although salads may appear and sound very healthy but the dressing is so important.
the salad i ordered came with a creamy dreasing, those type of dressings are extremely high in calories. in the salad, there were also my favourite salad ingredient, croutons! these are terribly high in calories after being fried in oil so you need to be careful. salads don't always mean it is low calorie. there's a chance that the salad you are eating has the same calories as a burger. make sure you are careful with that :) at the beginning of my weight loss period, i thought that huge calorie deficit can lead to a fast drop in weight. i was eager to see the results, so i ate very little. yes, my weight did drop. but i had no energy to do anything.
there are so many times where i would stand up after laying down and my vision would go black my head would feel dizzy and uncomfortable. so afterwards i decided i didn't want to pursue extreme dieting, i wanted to eat enough and eat healthily. i began to cook healthy and refreshing meals when i was on a diet, i ate to a fullness of 70%. this way i'm not eating too much or too less. it'd be just right. you might not feel like you are fully full right after you finish. but you will only feel the actual fullness 15-30 minutes after you are done eating. (i hope this makes sense) so i would normally eat to 70%. i would always drink a cup of water before every meal, as this makes you a bit fuller before you begin eating.
this is to prevent overeating. i didn't drink milk at all during my diet. in 1.5 months, i lost the entire 8kg that i gained before afterwards i maintained a healthy diet, increased my calorie intake however i still maintained a regular no fried food up until now. (except for cheat meals once a while, hehe) my weight still decreased slowly. 2 months later, i lost a total of 10kg. my weight now is 46kg. if you have any questions, you can comment them below and i'll answer them all! if you want to watch any other weight loss related videos, you can also tell me below.
