or fda maintains that aspartame is safe. accordingto pepsi officials, the number one reason consumers are dropping diet soda is becauseof aspartame. we'll have to wait and see if


diet soda, dropping aspartame will boost diet pepsi sales,but at least for now, diet coke does not plan to follow diet pepsi's lead.
